Family Hockey Night

Join the Port Huron Recreation Department for an awesome family night at McMorran Arena. We will start with pizza and refreshments in the Memorial Room, then we will visit the Casey’s Kid Zone for face painting, a magician, photo area and coloring table – all are held at McMorran Arena. We will watch the Port Huron Prowlers Hockey Game at 6:00 P.M. Pre-Registration is required for both, parent and child.

Drums Alive

Feel and experience the pulsating rhythms, dynamic movements and powerful percussions of this unique high-energy dance rhythmical workout. Power Beats combines movement with the power of drumming. It is a workout for the entire body as well as a powerful tool for stress reduction and mental balance. Anyone, of any age, and of any ability can participate in Drums Alive® Power Beats.

Adult Tennis Clinic

This beginners clinic will consist of one hour of instruction followed by 30 minutes of free court time to play.

Yoga

Escape from your day and enjoy the calmness of yoga. Classes blend stretching, gentle movements and restorative poses. Classes focus on letting go of tension with the help of essential oils and breathing techniques, allowing you to reach a state of stillness and peace. No experience needed.

Snowshoe

Get outdoors and enjoy the winter wonderland on snowshoes. Join us as we visit four beautiful outdoor locations to complete a maximum one mile route designed for beginner snowshoers. Bring your own snowshoe.

Beginners Belly Dance

This belly dance fitness class will introduce basic movements and foundations for belly dance. Class begins with warm-up and stretching using isolations of muscle groups. Demonstrations will be given using the movements in drills to learn techniques. Explanations will aid students in incorporating speed, levels, and direction change into their combinations. Drills increase heart rate, create strength and are tons of fun!

American native, Riksar (Anne Elizabeth) first began learning Egyptian belly dance at age fourteen in Sarnia, Ontario.

Brought to you by Professional Karate Schools of America Port Huron (PKSA). This class teaches safety strategies and physical techniques which enable someone to successfully escape and resist violent attacks.

Come meet new friends and enjoy this easy-to follow workout designed for seniors that will increase your energy and stamina. Move through a variety of exercises designed to increase muscular strength, range of motion and skills required for daily living.

Stop the Bleed offered by Tri-Hospital EMS

This class will teach the civilian population how to provide vital initial-response. This info will enable you to stop uncontrolled bleeding in emergency situations. During many emergencies, there is a delay between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene. Without civilian intervention, preventable deaths can occur.

Rhonda Adams, EMT-P and Field Training Officer for Tri-Hospital EMS, will instruct the class. All participants who attend will receive a certificate upon completion of the course.
