Civilians need basic training in Bleeding Control principles so they can provide immediate, frontline aid until first responders are able to take over care of an injured person. The American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma is leading the effort to save lives. This class will teach the civilian population how to provide vital initial-response. During many emergencies, there is a delay between the time of injury and the time a first responder is on the scene. Without civilian-intervention, preventable deaths can occur. Rhonda Adams, EMT-P and Field Training Officer for Tri-Hospital EMS will instruct the class. All participants who attend will receive a certificate upon completion of the course. Free course.
