McMorran Theatre Art Class

Does your child have an interest in acting or learning more about theatre life? This 5 week class will cover many aspects of the stage, including improvisation, scene work, character development, costumes/ makeup, and more. There will be a small talent showcase on the final class.

Learn to see the way an artist sees and learn the tips, tricks, tools and techniques to take the mystery out of drawing realistically. This course introduces students to the fundamentals of drawing, including tools and techniques used by accomplished artists. Emphasis is placed on understanding how to see the way artists see. Previous drawing experience is not required for this course.

Beginning Uke

Ages 8–17: Oct. 25 – Nov.15 6:30 – 7:00 p.m.

So I got a ukulele, now what do I do with it? Bring it to Palmer Park and quickly learn how to play some favorite songs! This entry level, half hour class will teach you the correct handling of your uke, how to play simple chords and basic music/chart reading.

Calling All Singers

Micki LePla has many years of education & experience with professional singing. Let her help you learn the correct breathing techniques and vocal placement among many other tricks of the trade to make the most of your talents.

Great Big Ocean

The mysteries of the ocean and its inhabitants will be explored in this hands on class through stories, activities, food and crafts. Children will use their imagination to envision life under the sea with its creatures, ship wrecks, vegetation and more.

Alphabet Adventures

Saturdays: Oct. 14, 21, 28, Nov. 4 (4 weeks)
11:00 – 11:45 a.m.

Explore the alphabet through song, activities and crafts. Children will review several letters each week in this 45 minute class with hands on activities and interaction with other children the same age.
