Rookie Rugby

Oct. 21-Nov.18 (5 week session)
Grades K-5 10:00 – 11:00 a.m.

Welcome to Rookie Rugby- a safe, non-contact, easy to play game for both boys and girls. This version of Rugby is played with flags to replace tackling, and the primary goal is to introduce this great sport while developing skills through games and fun exercises.
This is a 5 week fall season.
Resident: $35, Non-Resident: $65


Modern Fencing

Fall: Oct. 16 – Dec. 4
Winter: Jan. 8 – Feb. 26

Trinity Lutheran Church

In conjunction with the Blue Water Fencing Club, classes will teach weapon handling and main fencing positions; fencing movements, straight hits and hits with disengagements; attacks and counter attacks. The course is taught in foil, with an explanation of epee and saber. Program will provide masks, gloves and practice foils. Students must wear athletic shoes and comfortable shorts or pants.
Resident: $55 – 8 classes, Non-Resident: $75–8 classes

Play with the Pros

This program is designed to introduce skating and hockey in a fun, relaxed atmosphere! Your child will learn from some of our local professionals from the Port Huron Prowlers! Classes will be held at McMorran Arena. We do have a limited supply of skates to use on a first come first serve basis. When registering, please let us know if you need skates and the size so we can reserve them if they are available. Must provide own helmet (hockey or bike helmet will work).
Resident: $30, Non-Resident: $50

Little Ninjas Karate

Oct. 3-Nov. 14

Introductory karate class designed to teach focus, memory, teamwork, discipline, self-control, fitness, balance and coordination. Hosted by PKSA (Professional Karate Schools of America). Wear loose fitting clothes. A responsible adult must remain in attendance during class. There will be no class held on Oct. 31.

Kids Power Karate

Oct. 3 – Nov. 14
Tuesday 5:45 – 6:30 p.m.

This 6-week martial arts class emphasizes self-defense, physical fitness, conflict resolution, teamwork and anti-kidnapping techniques. This is an introductory program to Tang Soo Do. Hosted by PKSA (Professional Karate Schools of America). Wear loose fitting clothes. A responsible adult must remain in attendance during class. There will be no class held on Oct. 31

Intro to Karate

Sept. 11, 18, 25

This FREE class is a 3 week introduction to karate. Certified instructors will teach you the basic skills of karate.

Classes blend stretching, gentle movement and restorative poses with a focus on letting go of tension and thought allowing you to reach a state of stillness and peace. Essential oils combined with focus on our breath helps in making this class relaxing and healing. All are welcome. No experience needed just come, wear something comfortable, and enjoy the benefits of nurturing your mind, body, and spirit.
