About Junior Recreators

With the help of the James C. Acheson Foundation, the Junior Recreator program prepares youth, ages 12-15, for their professional future by providing hands on experience, such as completing a job application, participating in an interview, and gaining responsibility while networking and volunteering in the community.

For New Junior Recreators, registration is available beginning May 2, 2025 at the Palmer Park Recreation Center or online here.

Once registered for the program, all participants must schedule an interview. Interviews are 15 minutes.

This is a free program. Junior Recreators who complete at least 20 hours of volunteering are awarded with a Free trip to Cedar point in early August.
